Its easy to collect grasses to dry and use. When the seed-heads have
formed, take a sharp knife and cut the grasses off just above the soil.
Let them lay in a thin layer in the sun for a day or two, turning them
over a few times. Don't allow them to get too damp. After they are dried
they are put into a plethora of uses.
Gentle dried grasses bring the rustle of the prairie to your home.
Bunches of dried grasses can make a wonderful addition to any home or
office.
For an autumn harvest look that takes you straight into a winter,
string together a garland made of fine dried grasses. Dried grasses are
less aromatic, but can be powdered with other masalas and used in
cooking. Depending on the types of dried grasses they are used for
decorative, ornamental and medicinal purposes.
