India. It is considered to be a symbol of beauty, purity and perfection.
On the culinary side, every part of the plant is used in cuisines. It is
multi petalled pink flower.
Dried lotus petals are ground and infused with water to make a fragrant tea.
The petals steeped in wine or tea have a calming effect.The petals are
placed in soups and are used as garnish. Petals are mashed into a paste
and used as filling for cakes.
