Method of Making Mixed Potpourri
- Place dried leaves and flower petals into a large bowl.
- Gently stir until they are combined.
- Mix in spices and seeds in small amounts to attain the fragrance.
- Add a fixative such as orrisroot, or gum benzoin.
- Toss lightly and allow it to stand at room temperature for 5 to 6
weeks.
- Shake it periodically.
- Cut netting to desired length and lightly apply glue to inside
bottom of a container. Push netting into a container.
- Fill box with potpourri and secure netting with a ribbon bow.
- Glue flowers at bow.
- This is a great way to enjoy the fragrance of mixed
potpourri.
