Strobus Pine
Botanical Name: Pinus StrobusCommon Names: Yellow Pine, Weymouthskiefer, Soft Pine, Spruce Pine, Strobo Origin: Native to North America Regions: Western Kentucky, Western Tennessee, Delaware, South California Strobus pine is an excellent ornamental conifer and is also an important timber species. Its form is somewhat pyramidal when young and becomes broad with age. The 3-5 inches long needles found in bundles of five are thin and soft. Needle color varies from plant to plant and ranges from yellow green to blue green. The cones are 10 to 17.5 cm long. These cones are borne on a long stalk with thin and rounded cone scales. The fruits get mature in August. Uses of Dried Strobus Pine Dried strobus pine is used for beautiful, enchanting and attractive decorations. it also serves as a good antiseptic and expectorant. Dried specimen is used for the complete study of the strobus pine tree. It is widely used for Christmas decorations and brings in warmth and joy on any occasion.
